Jeremy Goodell Memorial Scholarship

Portrait of Jeremy GoodellJeremy Goodell was the Youth Pastor of Minnewashta Church for just a short time, but during that time, he made a great impact on our congregation. On the evening of August 13, 2001, Jeremy was on his way to Vacation Bible School at the church, when he was involved in an automobile accident and killed.

Jeremy’s enthusiastic and genuine love for the Lord was evident in all he did, but especially in his relationships with the youth. He loved his job and had hopes of one day being the senior pastor at Minnewashta Church. After his death, it seemed appropriate to find some way of honoring Jeremy’s memory in a permanent way. This scholarship is meant to do just that. Each year, we award scholarships to one or more deserving recipients who are seeking to continue their education at a Post-Secondary institution, Continuing Education program, educational assistance or to any Bible or religious Camp, Mission Trip or Summerfest.

The application process begins in April and awards are presented the first Sunday in June. Interested students can pick up an application packet in the church office. Scholarship applications for 2024 are now CLOSED. You can also request an application by email or by calling the church office at 952-474-8995.
