Memory Verse – Hebrews 11:1-3 “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible”.

Message from Pastor Grant Hillfrom April Newsletter: Harvey and Zak – Thank You
What an amazing and great church we have at Minnewashta!  As I continue to learn more of Minnewashta’s past I am both joyful and a bit sad. Let me explain. I am joyful and excited to learn about all the wonderful people God has used at Minnewashta Church over the past 50 years to build this great church.  So many great stories and pictures of love, fellowship, laughter and hard work given to build our church. The sad part is, I wish I could have shared in all these memories with you. You have done a great job “being” a church Jesus is proud of.

One of the strongest and most outstanding ministries at Minnewashta Church for the past sixty years has been our choir.  I would like to show both and honor and gratitude to two wonderful men God used to give us an amazing choir these past years.

In the 1960s God raised up Louis Zakariasen to direct the choir. I have heard Louis was an excellent director and it was a great success. Then in the 1980s the mantle of leadership was passed on to Harvey Parker. Harvey too has done an outstanding job and the choir has been very successful.  To think of all the hours these two men gave month in, and month out, for nearly sixty years as Choir Directors is amazing. It is an outstanding display of love, commitment and service to God and our church. Due to Harvey’s illness, he will no longer be able to provide leadership to the choir this Fall.

It is my hope and prayer that both Louis and Harvey know how grateful and thankful, we as a church family are for the time they gave Minnewashta Church as Choir Directors. You both did an outstanding job. Thank you very much!

As we look to the future, the Leadership Team hopes God will help us find a way to continue on for years in our future with a choir at Minnewashta.
Love you, Pastor Grant

MISSION OF THE MONTHMayJeremy Goodell Scholarship Fund, Jeremy was such a special young man to our Minnewashta Church congregation. Jeremy’s enthusiastic and genuine love of the Lord was evident in all he did, but especially in his relationships with our youth. He served as our Youth Pastor for just a short time before he was in a tragic automobile accident and was killed on his way to Vacation Bible School on the evening of August 13, 2001.
Jeremy truly loved his job and had hope of one day, becoming the Senior Pastor at Minnewashta. He was such a bright light in the lives of so many – we won’t ever forget him. The scholarship program is meant to serve as a special, and enduring way to honor his memory.
Please give generously to this important mission of our church. First Sunday, 2nd Offering goes to Minnewashta Benevolence Fund.

Please use the church calendar on the website to see the events for the week, month & beyond. If you have need to use any of the building, please contact the office so we can block off the space during the time you need it.

If you have an item for the announcements, please get it to the church office by NOON on Wednesday each week.
