Memory Verse – John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
Message from Pastor Grant Hill – from March Newsletter: When God is Doing a New Thing
I love Minnewashta Church, and all the wonderful things God is doing in our midst. He is uniting us in deep love for one another. He is encouraging us to be His light and love to a hurting world. He is teaching us His Word at Sunday morning Bible Study and worship. His Holy Spirit is moving amongst us as we lay hands on one another in prayer for healing and restoration. The list goes on and on. We are a blessed church!
The Lord said through the prophet Isaiah . . . “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19
God did a new thing in Abraham’s life when He asked Abraham to leave his land, his family, and everything he has ever known to go to a new place. Abraham decided to trust God and abandon his old life. And through his obedience, the nation of Israel came to be, as well as the lineage of Jesus.
The apostles are another example. Peter, John, and James abandoned their former lives of fishermen to follow Jesus and become His disciples. By embracing the new thing God did, they helped build the church and led many to salvation.
When God is leading a person, family, church, or nation . . . things change. A church willing to change shows they are listening to God’s leadership.
As your pastor, I am grateful the people of Minnewashta Church are listening to God and letting Him bring change to a new leadership structure. We voted at our annual meeting and with a 100% unanimous vote . . . a new structure of leadership will be developed in 2023. Please pray for God’s will in this endeavor to be fulfilled. It will take time. And please believe with me, God has great plans for Minnewashta Church’s future.
The new leadership team for 2023 to discover God’s will for our future will be, Dana George, Karen Bosshart, Carolyn Glendenning and Pastor Grant Hill. We see ourselves as servants of the Lord on God’s and your behalf.
Love you, Pastor Grant

MISSION OF THE MONTH for March – Bountiful Baskets – In addition to the food drive, we will take monetary donations for the 2nd Offering to ensure extra assistance at a time when food donations are at their lowest, your participation in both the food drive and cash offering will help to keep their shelves stocked. During everyone’s life there is a period when we need help. For many this help comes in the form of food assistance to get them through their time of need. In a typical 12 month period the Bountiful Basket Food Shelf distributes over 400,000 lbs of food. All of the 15,000 individuals served are neighbors and fellow community members who live in Eastern Carver County. Please give generously to this important organization. NOTE: be sure to make checks for MoM to MINNEWASHTA CHURCH. We send one check to each mission at the end of the month
We will be having a Service of Gratitude and Appreciation next Sunday, March 12. Those who have served at Minnewashta will be recognized and the New Leadership Team will be introduced.
