Memory Verse – Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Pastor suggests that, over the next few weeks, you take some time to memorize these. May you be blessed with peace as you take time out of your day to study God’s Promises & take them into your soul.

The God of . . . Promises

He gives strength to the weary.
Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
He will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
God gives wisdom to those who ask.
James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”
He forgives us when we confess our sins.
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
He will never forsake you.
Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
He will meet all your needs.
Phil 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Call on him and he will answer.
Psalm 50:15 “Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”
He will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
All things work for good for those who love God.
Rom 8:28 “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
All things will be added when you seek first the kingdom.
Matthew 6:33 “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things (provision) will be added to you.”
He will make your path straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Prayer:  “Heavenly Father, as we continue this Lenten journey, we come before You with humble hearts. Help us to return to You with sincerity, to seek You more deeply, and to live lives that reflect Your grace. May this season of Lent draw us closer to You and prepare us for the joy of Easter. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
