WEDNESDAY MIDWEEK@ MINNEWASHTA CHAPEL SERVICE – Especially keeping seniors of the community in mind, we invite you to join us each Wednesday at 11:30 AM for this special time with hymns, prayers/praises, and Pastor Grant’s message. Fellowship lunch follows at 12:15 & movie at 12:45. Communion is served the first Wednesday of each month. Fellowship lunch is provided following our Midweek@ Minnewashta Chapel Service. Freewill offering is encouraged.

MEAL & MOVIE – Feb 5: “The Shift” – Part 1. A modern day, sci-fi story of faith that takes a lot of its cues from the Book of Job. It follows a man named Kevin (Kristoffer Polaha) who finds himself in a dystopian world confronted by a mysterious stranger known as “The Benefactor” who presents him with challenges as he fights to “shift realities” and return to the woman he loves.

Mission of the Month – February-  Open Arms Home for Children – “To the world you may be only one person, but

to ONE PERSON, you may be the WORLD” – Dr Seuss

  • OUR PURPOSE – We exist for one reason: to provide a loving residential environment that serves the emotional, physical, and developmental needs of orphaned, abandoned and disadvantaged children in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
  • OUR HOPE – Find caring partners to help us meet the needs of the children at Open Arms. Together, with the generous support of donors and the love of our volunteers and staff, we want our children to know the love of neighbor and the love of our caring God.
  • OUR MISSION – As an established nonprofit organization, registered in South Africa and the United States,Open Arms provides love and security to children orphaned by the AIDS pandemic. Goal is to raise $850,000 annually to fully support our children, from pre-school to adulthood. No one is the United States is being paid – 100% of our funds raised go to the support of the kids and efforts to raise more funds.
BENEVOLENCE FUND – The benevolence fund is used to aid families with unexpected or high medical expenses, victims of natural disasters. The unemployed, the under employed and in other similar circumstances.
MINNEWASHTA OFFERINGS – The Offering Boxes are mounted on the wall outside of the church office and the envelopes are located on the table beneath the two boxes. Alternatively, you can mail your offerings and tithes to the church: 26710 West 62nd St., Shorewood, MN 55331, Attn: Financial Secretary.
Thursday – MEN’S BIBLE STUDY – Noon – Lunch provided.
