Memory Verse – Ezekiel 36:26 “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
“The Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before Him” – Habakkuk 2:20
Each Sunday morning, the Prayer team invites those who wish to pray before the service to come to the library at 10:30 AM to have a quiet time of praying and preparing your hearts to worship the Lord.
NOTE: CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE IS AT 4 PM. This year commemorates the 30th anniversary of our first service in the current building. Even though all of the construction wasn’t complete, we were close enough for the Building Inspector, who was feeling the spirit of Christmas, to grant us the permit so we could celebrate the Birth of Jesus at our special candlelight Christmas Eve service. A special Offering will be taken to benefit Union Gospel Mission.
MEAL and MOVIE WEDNESDAY at Noon – Movie: The Announcement
We stay in Nazareth and investigate the Annunciation, where the Angel Gabriel delivered very special news to a virgin girl named Mary. We explore the concepts of angels, miracles, and the importance of the Virgin Birth.
MISSION OF THE MONTH for December – Salvation Army
The Sal Army is an international movement, an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Their vision is to be a place where people of all ages live in safe and sustainable communities, in which differences are respected, and people are empowered to learn, work, and worship in freedom.
The First Sunday Mission of the Month goes to Minnewashta Benevolence. Please give generously to both of these causes.
From the Financial Secretary:
All year-end donations must be postmarked, or physically be at the church by December 31. Any donations, even PRE-dated, cannot be accepted after December 31. If mailed, I would appreciate if checks could be received even BEFORE December 31. If you are having a donation sent from a Financial Institution, be aware that they do not always note the name of
the giver. If you have authorized a year end donation, please let me know.
Thank you. Jan Reed
COOKIE SALE!
Women’s Fellowship thanks everyone who brought cookies for our sale on Sunday, and those who bought them. We raised $125.00, which was then donated to a person who would be blessed by it. Thank you!
Please sign up for treats for after-service coffee fellowship. The sign up is in the kitchen.
If you have an item for the announcements, please get it to the church office by NOON on Wednesday each week. Thank you.
