- FOOD SHELF – Please continue to give generously. You may leave non-perishable items on the shelves provided near the office. Items are taken to Bountiful Basket in Chaska.
- MISSION OF THE MONTH/August –MN Adult and Teen Challenge restores hope to the people struggling with drugs and alcohol abuse and other life controlling issues. We welcome them on for their testimonies on Sunday, August 21. First Sunday contributions go to benefit Minnewashta Church Benevolence Fund.
- Please get in the habit of using the CALENDAR link on the website. You can find it on the “What’s Happening” drop down menu (or use this link https://www.minnewashtachurch.org/whats-happening/event-calendar/). It’s the place to find a meeting or to see if the building is in use, as well as includes when The Branch is using the space.
- IMPORTANT NOTICE: Mailboxes have been moved into the office. Some items from the youth room have been boxed and placed in the coat room in the Fellowship Hall. Please check to see if anything needs to be saved.
- The PIANO and DESK located in the Fellowship Hall are for sale. Make an offer if you are interested.
- MN Adult & Teen Challenge will be here on August 21 giving testimonies. We are providing lunch. Remember to bring a salad or dessert.
- A thank you card has been sent to Bryce Wiitala for removing weeds from the rock foundation around the church. He volunteered 23 hours during July and August. His work improved the look of our church property.
- The workday on August 7 was a huge success. We joined forces with the Branch to trim trees, shape shrubs, repair the fence, and tackle the excess in the kitchen. Be sure to check out the FREE table in the Fellowship Hall for a treasure that you might need.
- The contract has been signed and Minnewashta Church is excited to have The Branch as a rental partner with us. Their first official “Sunday at 5” service will be held beginning August 21. They have been holding team meetings, a Friday Early Bird Men’s Bible study and will soon be adding youth activities on Wednesday evenings. - Park Nicollet is offering training sessions for those who are interested in Hospice Volunteering. Commitment is maximum of 4 hours per week (or less). If you are away seasonally, they can accommodate.
