3rd ANNUAL ANCHOR HOMESCHOOL MAKER’S MARKET
The home school entrepreneurs will feature their handmade items people can purchase for Christmas. December 12 at Minnewashta Church from 4:30 – 7:00 PM

Advent is a joyous season of expectant hope and anticipation as we look to Christmas morning and the birth of our blessed savior, Jesus.  The traditional Advent virtues of hope, peace, joy, and love help share the miraculous story of Jesus’ birth and the journey that many took to be there that night. The prophesied arrival of Christ changed the world forever.   Please join us as we share in the beauty of Christmas during Advent Sunday mornings at 10:45 AM.

CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS –  We invite you to donate a poinsettia in honor of a loved one for Christmas. Please pick up a form to fill out in the Narthex.

NOVEMBER MISSION OF THE MONTH – VOICE OF THE MARTYRS (VOM)
VOM
is a missionary that serves persecuted Christians in the world’s most difficult and dangerous places to serve Jesus Christ. For more than 50 years, VOM has been dedicated to inspire and support all bleievers in dangerous places to know they are not alone. And to know churches are supporting and praying for them. Please give generously to this important mission of our church. FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH, MISSION – Benevolence Fund – Benevolence is the desire to help someone or a feeling of goodwill toward others. It can be monetary, to help those in need. Often it is used to aid families with unexpected or high medical expenses, victim of natural disasters, the unemployed, the underemployed and others in similar circumstances. Thank you for your generous gifts.

Meal and a Movie –  Thursday from 6:00-7:30PM. The movie this week is titled, I Heard the Bells. It’s a heartwarming, true story of Henry Wordsworth Longfellow and his writing of the Christmas carol, “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day”. Karen has seen the trailer. It’s really well done and will be shown in 2 sessions. NOTE: After this Thursday evening from 6-7:30 PM, we will be moving Meal and Movie to Wednesdays from noon to 1:30 PM so people don’t have to drive at night. A sign up sheet is in the kitchen if you want to bring a meal to share!

Please sign up for coffee/treats (on the clipboard in the kitchen), for after-service fellowship.

If you have an item for the announcements, please get it to the church office by NOON on Wednesday each week. Thank you.
