Memory Verse – Jeremiah 29:11   “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Message from Pastor Grant Hillfrom February Newsletter: A Call to Prayer
I am excited God is calling His church at Minnewashta to deeper and more intimate prayer. Both individually and corporately. And even more exciting is to see we are responding to His call to pray. We see in church history and in Scripture before God moves and grows His church, He first calls His children to prayer. Prayer is always the forerunner to the Holy Spirit bringing a freshness of His Presence to the life of a church. And it is the Presence of the Holy Spirit, in the church, which brings salvation, healing, deliverance, freedom, power and hope to people. I trust we can all agree, as we pray, exciting days are coming to Minnewashta church in 2023.

Acts 4:31 reveals how God’s people prayed and the result of their praying was the Holy Spirit releasing His presence and power amongst the believers. “After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” An exciting moment in the life of the church. A moment we too need to experience in 2023.

We read that after Solomon finished praying the “glory of the Lord filled the temple”. 2 Chronicles 7:1 “When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the
glory of the Lord filled the temple.” I can imagine how exciting it was to experience the Glory of the Lord. The presence and power of the Holy Spirit being released during church is one of the greatest needs in the American
church. I emphasize again, prayer is the key to see heaven come down to earth with glory and power through the Holy Spirit.

Please try to set aside a few minutes a day to pray for our church in 2023. You are also invited to join us for communal  prayer Monday’s at noon at the church; on Tuesday’s at 12:30 p.m. at the Stutzman’s home and every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
Blessings, Pastor Grant
…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
– 2 Chronicles 7:14

“The Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before Him”  – Habakkuk 2:20
Each Sunday morning, the Diaconate is asking that you enter the Sanctuary and pray silently to open your heart to receive the Word.
